Toronto self-taught artist Jennifer Harrison paints images of houses, perhaps from places that one day she may like to visit. Evoking English seaside towns, Jennifer's row houses fill up a canvas in pastel tones. The thick, almost icing-on-the-cake-like quality of her work radiates a simple charm that is quite difficult to ignore. "I spent a lot of years living in horrible apartments with no heat and no windows and I think houses were something to aspire to. I guess I got a little obsessed. Also, before I wanted to be an artist, I wanted to be an architect."

Washington, DC artist Bill Miller creates textured panoramas, interior scenes, and delicate portraits from reclaimed vintage linoleum and vinyl flooring. Creating an effect that lies somewhere between collage and stained glass, Bill's innovative use of the linoleum's pattern and color is his signature style. Family members and familiar places become subjects depicted in rich patterns of linoleum, carefully placed, layered, and then sealed on Masonite. Bill began working with reclaimed materials as a founding member of Pittsburgh's Industrial Arts Co-op, constructing large scale sculptures made of scrap materials in abandoned industrial sites.
