Vessel 53, the Minerva, was laid up at Shooters Island, New York in the early 1930's, alongside the old shipping pier, where she was eventually abandoned.

  • Summer of 1874: Built as the Jane Mosley, running between Pier 8, North River, Manhattan and Long Branch, NJ.
  • Ownership transferred from the Long Island Railroad to George H. Plant & Co.
  • May 16, 1875: Won race on Potomac River with the steamer Keyport.
